Trials of various kinds affect us all throughout our lives. In a fallen and broken world, Jesus said, “you will have trouble” (Jn. 16:33). In James chapter 1, we discover that we can “count it all joy” even as troubles come. In Christ, we can embrace a new perspective that sees God’s sovereign goodness and love. We can know that God will work out His purposes to see us further conformed to the image of Christ as we seek Him in prayer for wisdom from above.
